Every Thursday, I sat in front of the tv, setting by my side one of my parents aiding me with reading subtitles out loud, or explaining some plot points that were bigger than my comprehension back then. sometimes forward, I started learning all that I could consume about the art of cinema. Until the promised day, I finally graduated from high school and moved to the big city. And I was shocked by the fast-moving life and the harsh economic reality. My mother used to brag about how smart of a child I used to be. How I walked before others crawled, talked before other babbled. And other nonsense only a Loving mother would tell about her run-of-the-mill child, nonsense that will do him no good except feeding his ego at the expense of his skills. All these stories and others -told in family gatherings- used to bypass my mind and heart, except one.
